This whole console war is stupid. In reality All three companies want their competitors to succeed but not do better than them. Why? Every new gamer that buys a console is a potential buyer for another console on the market. We sit up here and fight over which console better (ps3 whoop whoop) and these guys go have beers and hang out when the suits and ties come off.
The 360 was built around multiplayer first-person shooters. 75% of the games on 360 are shooters my god. Ps1, Ps2...variety. Ps3 just started the race slow...but if you got speed, power, and endurance you can win any race. Sony has that. Nintendo has that. Microsoft has Halo lmaol.
I find all these bashing articles crazy. Now When the Ps3 takes off I cant wait to see the articles of how "The miraculous return of sony" or "Ps3 The return of the king" smh. Same thing happend to the first xbox then people jumped on the bandwagon. Gamecube??? Everybody said Nintendo was done. Halo is my favorite game of all time, wish it was on Ps3...but that's the only reason I own a 360. That's sad.

but how much better can the next generation be...we have to be talking about CGI level type upgrade...I dont see the next leap not being CGI. That may be 6-7 years off. They might rebrand the 360 and ps3 I think but a new Wii the only system I see coming out in the next 5 years.

we argue over price drops really. If you love your 360 are you going to love it less cause the ps3 now 299??? Sometimes us gamers get caught up in the politics of gaming. 360 aint going nowhere and neither is the ps3. I prefer the ps3 over the 360 but between those two systems, I have had some great gaming over the past two years. I don't care which systems ends up first or last...who has more market share...It's irrelevant. I win.
You know it all comes down to the games...and when I compare 09 to 11 outlook the ps3 has the better lineup...This system launched at $600 and managed to stay relevant. Even at $400 it was right there. 24 million units at $400-$600 price point with low catalog of games??? The Ps3 has been a success and it hasn't broken a sweat yet. Except for Halo reach and Mass effect...why do I own a 360 again?

Dead space Is wayyyyyy better then RE5...as for as sports games go I skip a year on them...Last madden I played was 08 so Im picking the new one up Friday. I think EA taking a step in the right direction...but when you on top, greed is a sure thing.
I got a ps3 already. The slim is just for the ps2 users who defected to the 360 until the ps3 had a decent price point.

People take their video games too serious. I could care less about Sony or Microsoft...I care bout the games. Sony just happens to have my favorites. Im ashamed I own a 360 for one game...Halo.
alot of the parts used for Sony's machines are in house made. Its not like their Microsoft and have to go get another company to create parts and components. Well except for their GPU.
Believe me when I tell you the Go is gonna make Sony $50 for every one sold. They not selling it at a lost. Why? When the cut the price on the Ps3 they wont take a big hit and will actually be making money. The Go has no umd drive and is basically the psp slim that slides lol. Probably between $175 to $200 to make one. You have to remember thats 2003 tech still. Cost for the psp done came way down.

We got hoods in Brooklyn that look Iraq, so Mr.President concentrate on fixing our neighborhoods and our Country and let the parents parent. I have a son 6yrs plays bout 4-6 hours of ps2 but his school work is great. Parents dont need a lecture thank you.
Love the Sony brand, don't mind being called a fanboy...but lets not get our panties in a bunch yet. Still a long way to go. That being said with a great holiday lineup not depending on MW2 and GOW3 around the corner I would be a little worried if I was Microsoft.
